Motorist robbed at knifepoint on N2

An armed robbery docket was open at Montclair SAPS station.

WHILE a car was being loaded onto a tow truck, the woman driver of the vehicle was threatened with a knife and robbed of all her valuables on Wednesday, 19 July underneath the Lamontville bridge on the N2.

At about 6.45pm, the woman was standing on the side of the freeway while her car was being loaded onto the tow truck, after her car had broken.

Four men approached her and one of them produced a knife. The unknown man threatened her with the weapon, demanding she hand over her bag. Without hesitation, she gave it to him before the men fled on foot.
