First overall winners were Wonki and Chantal Hearnshaw on 4+20.

By Linda Hewer

WOODLANDS Bowling Club’s inter-club league saw a home game played on Saturday against Parkhill Bowling Club.

Harold Dix and his team won their game 21-11, while Norman Moore and his team lost 14-18, with Woodlands getting the bonus point.

Rina Harper and Lynn Carlyle played the final in the women’s pairs, with Rina emerging as the Woodlands champion for 2017. Well done Rina.

Sunday saw the breakfast shirts and skirts played in lovely warm weather. First overall were Wonki and Chantal Hearnshaw on 4+20. Second overall were Robin Groblaar and Tom Simpkins on 4+8 and second session winners were Harold Dix and Bryce Bower. Linda Hewer ran away with the R40 money board, leaving Richard Hendicott the dregs of R20 and Robbie Carr won the meat raffle.

Note that Linda’s pairs and the casual fours breakfast will not take place in July due to the Dan Draper being played.
