TRAFFIC ALERT: [PHOTOS] Roads flood in Mobeni

Motorists are urged to take extra precaution while using the wet roads and to obey the rules of the road.

MOTORISTS using South Coast and Blamey roads as well as the intersection on Coedmore and Kingfisher Road are urged to avoid the areas as they have been flooded out by the heavy rains today, 25 July.

The cold front which hit KwaZulu-Natal over the weekend is still in full force with heavy snowfall  forecast for parts of the region and strong rains across Durban.

Motorists are urged to take extra precaution while using the wet roads and to obey the rules of the road. Where possible, avoid the Mobeni and Yellowwood Park intersections which are flooded.
SAFETY TIPS:
  • Keep lights on to make yourself visible.
  • Reduce speed to reduce the risk of an accident.
  • Be alert on the roads. Watch out for cars and pedestrians.
  • Be patient and stay calm.
  • Keep a safe following distance between you and the car in front of you.
  • Always wear your seatbelt.
  • Ensure that your wipers are fully functional.
