Passenger stabbed for unpaid taxi fee

Without any warning, the conductor lunged forward and stabbed the passenger in his arm and chest.

A TAXI conductor has landed himself in hot water after he allegedly stabbed one of his passengers in the arm and chest on South Coast Road on Wednesday night, December 16.

According to the victim, the conductor asked him for his taxi fare. The man, who was with his brother at the time, said his brother would pay for it. Without any warning, the conductor lunged forward and stabbed the passenger in his arm and chest. The brother noticed a police van driving past and stopped the members, informing them of what happened.

The suspect was arrested immediately and detained for assault with intent to inflict grievous bodily harm.
