Highly visible police send criminals packing

IN a bid to reduce crime, Montclair SAPS began visible operations on 12 June, which will be ongoing in its policing area.

In partnership with Park Patrol, Blue Security, Combat Force, Elite 1 Security, the community policing forum and community watch members, the police led operations in Montclair, Clairwood, Yellowwood Park, Woodlands and Woodhaven.

Communications officer, W/O Poobalan Marimuthu said crime prevention patrols and stop and searches are being done due to an increase in crime.

“The high visibility of the members assisted in the reduction of crime,” he said as he confirmed operations will be ongoing.

“Montclair SAPS management commends and thanks all the role players in making this operation a huge success.”
