Heroin, mandrax dealer bust in Wentworth
Wentworth resident arrested in drug search.
EIGHT hundred straws of heroin and 700 mandrax tablets were seized in Wentworth when a 27-year-old woman was arrested on Tuesday, 14 April.
Armed with a search warrant, the KZN Hawks and Durban’s national intervention unit searched a Wentworth home and found the drugs hidden in black canvas bags.
The owner was charged with possession of and dealing in heroin and mandrax.
“The SAPS welcomes the arrest and seizure of these banned substances. The eradication of drug use and distribution can only be achieved with the co-operation of the community. We urge community members to report users and distributors,” said Brighton Beach cluster media officer, Captain Louise Le Roux.
