UPDATE: EXCLUSIVE AERIAL PHOTOS OF MOBENI FIRE

KZN’s emergency medical services liaison Robert McKenzie has said in a statement that several firemen were injured as they worked to contain the blaze at an oil factory in Mobeni’s South Coast Road this morning.

“The fire is mostly contained. Hot spots are still burning with minor explosions heard just a short while ago. A factory worker was injured and since several fire fighters have been injured,” said KZN Emergency Services Liaison, Robert McKenzie.

The Department of Labour and fire investigators are on the scene. Large crowds have gathered at the scene and the road is closed.
