Police talk on road safety and drugs at schools

Police handed out pamphlets with information about various illegal drugs and how to avoid becoming a drug user.

MONTCLAIR SAPS in a joint operation with Wentworth SAP and Metro Police visited schools in Clairwood to promote road safety and drug awareness.

On Wednesday, 25 February they visited Clairwood Boys Senior Primary for a drug presentation.
Police handed out phamphlets with information about various illegal drugs and how to avoid becoming a drug user. W/O Priscilla Ellappen of Montclair SAPS said the police also spoke about bullying.

On Thursday, 26 February police conducted a road safety presentation at Claiwood Boys Junior Primary School.
The presentation covered rules of the road and crossing the road.
“At the request of the principal, we were asked to give a talk. The intersection of South Coast and Blamey Roads is known as a hot spot for accidents involving children. We don’t want children to become another statistic,” said Ellappen. She thanked Metro Police, Balan Reddy and Cst Mei of Wentworth SAPS for their assistance during the presentations.
