UPDATE: Montclair man responds to family

Joubert pleaded not guilty to a charge of attempted murder in court on Monday, 22 September. He was denied bail.

MARK Lotter, who was attacked at a Montclair shop on Saturday, 20 September responded to family last night for the first time since being hospitalised.
“At this stage he still cannot see or speak and is in a very confused state. He does move his body slightly but his right arm is still not moving at all,” said Lotter’s sister, Nicolene De Villiers.

21-year-old Lotter was allegedly assaulted by 23-year-old William Joubert after Lotter went to visit his ex-girlfriend’s family. Joubert pleaded not guilty to a charge of attempted murder in court on Monday, 22 September. He was denied bail.
