R30,000 heroin stash lands Clairwood dealer in the dock

A woman was found with 1,000 heroin straws in Clairwood.

MORE than R30,000 of heroin was found on a 36-year-old woman in Clairwood on Tuesday, 5 August.

During and intelligence operation, the Durban Flying Squad narcotics task team arrested the woman in Sastri Road and found 1,000 straws of heroin. She was sent to Brighton Beach police station, where she was charged with dealing in drugs.

“The fight against drug abuse is not over and we will continue to target those who supply our communities with the poison they become so addicted to,” said KZN police commissioner, Lieutenant Mmamonnye Ngobeni, as she praised the Durban Flying Squad narcotics team for their continued fight against drug abuse and drug dealing in the province.
