BREAKING NEWS: 5.3 magnitude earthquake hits Klerksdorp

GOOGLE posted a public alert notification of an earthquake with a magnitude of 5.3 which occurred some 6km east of Orkney, South Africa.

According to the posting, the earthquake occurred near Klerksdorp at 10:22:34.90 UTC today, and the event had been reviewed by a seismologist.
•    The posting recommended the following actions:
•    Expect aftershocks. These secondary shockwaves are usually less violent than the main quake but can be strong enough to do additional damage to weakened structures and can occur in the first hours, days, weeks, or even months after the quake.
•    Look for and extinguish small fires. Fire is the most common hazard after an earthquake.
•    Be careful when driving after an earthquake and anticipate traffic light outages.
