The motorist that was shot dead yesterday morning (Tuesday, 15 July) has been identified as Vello Govender (37).
Friends and family expressed their sadness online.
Govender’s nephew Neilan Naicker was at the scene on Tuesday morning.”We have no information on why his death took place and the family is still in shock. All hope is left to SAPS to find the perpetrators who were responsible for my uncle’s death. I hope they are given highest form of punishment for doing that to my uncle,” said Neilan.
Police are investigating a case of murder.
