Don’t moan, be pro-active over urban decay

It’s all up to us to get the job done. Keep at it and it will improve.

EDITOR – In reply to ‘Just Saying’ in the Sun’s letters page of your 28 March-edition, why are you moaning about the council?

Accept the fact that service delivery is lacking and moaning about it will not help.

The residents of these areas need to get involved themselves. The litter in these areas is disgusting and if you are honest, you will admit that a lot of it comes from residents themselves. If residents would keep their verges mowed, use the correct disposal bags, only put them out on collection days and remove all illegal signs from the poles in the street, already the area would start to look way better.

The Southlands Sun regularly prints phone numbers that you need – use the numbers, get a reference number and keep calling until your problem is sorted.

It’s all up to us to get the job done. Keep at it and it will improve.
