Bowlers off to national tournament

Two bowlers from Wentworth Bowling Club will give it their all at the Bowls South Africa U30s National Tournament.

WENTWORTH Bowling Club’s talented members, Troy Garland and Brad Claassens, ardently prepared to compete in the Bowls South Africa U30s Nationals in Klerksdorp.

The club’s Cheryl Waterman said both Garland and Claassens’ journeys as bowlers serve as inspiring examples of what can be achieved through perseverance and determination.

“Their willingness to go the extra mile by consistently pushing their limits is a testament to their character and work ethic.

“As they prepare to represent our district, we have no doubt that they will continue to exemplify the values of hard work, resilience and determination. Their selection is a well-deserved recognition of their outstanding contribution.

“We have every confidence that they will continue to make Wentworth Bowling Club proud in the nationals,” added Waterman.

Claassens said he was excited and honoured to compete in the prestigious competition and hopes to make his club and district proud.
