School kits up rising soccer star for Italy tourney

Principal of the school, Dr Shalina Naicker, said she was thrilled that Perez will be afforded the opportunity to participate.

PROUD that their very own ‘Messi’ of Brighton Beach Senior Primary School, will spend a week in Milan after he was recruited to participate in the Yes Cup 2023, the school has rallied to support Perez Meruno.
Jetting off in April, Perez will showcase his football skills at the prestigious tournament that attracts football clubs from the world over.

Principal of the school, Dr Shalina Naicker, said she was thrilled that Perez will be afforded the opportunity to participate.

“We are extremely proud of Perez and the Durban Lyons Football Club for giving our youth such opportunities and uplifting life stories to share and encourage our young children.

“We thank those who inspired and supported Perez during his journey as an aspiring soccer star. Our staff, learners and SGB are proudly sponsoring his kit, and wish him all the best,” said Naicker.
