Alleged hijacker shot dead, man stabbed on The Bluff

Paramedics say the facts surrounding the incident and the events preceding it are unclear and will form part of a police investigation.

AN alleged hijacker was shot and killed on Bluff Road on Sunday night.

Kyle van Reenen, the spokesperson for Emer-G-Med, said paramedics responded to the scene of a shooting incident at about 21:00.

“Reports from the scene were that a male had sustained multiple stab wounds in an alleged hijacking incident. One of the alleged suspects was found to have sustained fatal injuries and was declared dead on arrival of paramedics. The facts surrounding the incident and the events preceding it are unclear and will form part of a police investigation,” he said.

The Brighton Beach Police did not respond at the time of publishing.
