Help name Crow’s first duiker for 2023

A barn owl which was rescued in December after he was found on top of a residents shower door was released into the wild after he was treated for spinal shock.

THE Centre for Rehabilitation of Wildlife (Crow) is proud to introduce their first grey duiker of 2023. The adorable guy was found on the ground, extremely dehydrated, leading him to paralysis for 24 hours.

The centre’s operations director, Clint Halkett-Siddall, said once nurses rehydrated him with fluids and bottles, he slowly regained use of his legs and stood up.

“He is now in an outdoor enclosure where he can eat branches and soon will be introduced to more antelope. He is now happy and healthy, but definitely needs a name,” said Halkett-Siddall.

Help Crow’s nurse, Zoe Dougall, name the little duiker, by leaving your suggestions on Crows Facebook page.
