McAllister found his passion in music at a young age. He began playing the drums for a church in Wentworth when he was just 11 years old and found his vocal talent when he was a teenager.

SOARING in the local music scene, Wentworth musician and vocalist Craig McAllister has described his journey as a new musician as an amazing adventure.

“When you start as a musician in this industry, nobody seems to know you, and they tend to not want to assist you or work with you. I am proud that I have been getting numerous messages and calls to collaborate with many upcoming and established artists to date,” he said.

His latest track, Space, which was a collaboration with two other Durban artists, Chuckie and Kerry Cherry, started from a conversation on a TikTok live.

“I seized the opportunity to work with more experienced artists in the industry. Working with Kerry and Chuckie has been amazing, especially for someone who only debuted in the music industry in June last year.

“I am grateful that more songs have been completed, which will be released in the near future, and I am also looking forward to a possible feature on a song by talented artist Ernie Smith,” McAllister said.

Inspired by indie artists that market themselves solely off content and consistency, the talented 31-year-old said he was proud to have made an entry into one of the most difficult industries in the country and wishes to make Durbanites proud.

McAllister found his passion in music at a young age. He began playing the drums for a church in Wentworth when he was just 11 years old and found his vocal talent when he was a teenager.

His future plans include starting a band and performing while touring across the globe. C Notes fans can also look out for a gospel album, which is in the pipeline.
