Help Wentworth Angels fulfil the wishes of the underprivileged

Wentworth Angels will also distribute grocery hampers to elderly residents this Christmas.

THE last annual Christmas party hosted by non-profit organisation, Wentworth Angels, is set to spread festive cheer among children and the elderly.

With about a month to go until Christmas and a few weeks left to prepare for the party, which will be hosted at the K1 Park in Austerville Drive on December 16, the organisation’s founder, Tracey Williams, has released a wish list.

“Every year, our Adopt a Child initiative enables residents or sponsors to pick a child’s name from our list, and buy the child two outfits, including underwear, shoes and toiletries. The children we have on our list come from disadvantaged homes, where poverty is rife. We also have children who come from single parent homes, and some who are raised in a single parent household, who struggle to find work or have been served a bad hand in life,” said Williams.

The organisation’s Adopt a Child initiative has reached its eighth year, and Williams said she hopes residents continue to pay it forward, especially during the festive season, even after her organisation closes. Wentworth Angels will also distribute grocery hampers to elderly residents this Christmas.
