Sports club welcomes new committee
Clive Smith was elected as chairperson, while Lynne Cox was selected to be vice chairperson.
THE Yellowwood Park Sports Club held their 56th annual general meeting (AGM) and elected a committee who will serve in the best interest of the club, and its valued members, on October 20.
Clive Smith was elected as chairperson, while Lynne Cox was selected to be vice chairperson.
Also elected during the meeting was Willy Thomas as manager, and Vanessa Thomas as secretary. Committee members who were welcomed were Eddy Bailey, Dave Bulterman, Erika Smith, Sindy MaNgwane Hlongwane and Gareth van Staden.
Smith said the Yellowwood Park Sports Club is a community based facility where members welcome the community to stop by and enjoy the hospitality.
“On the sporting front, we offer football, running and darts. Social pool and quiz night is a regular feature in the bar and our entertainment committee work hard at arranging various events and fundraisers which enhance the social atmosphere the club provides,” said Smith.
