Ward 66 committee ready to spark change

The committee is ready to hit the ground running.

WARD 66 is introducing their ward committee, who are geared up and ready to help enhance the Bluff area. Residents are encouraged to become actively involved in various initiatives hosted by the dedicated committee members.

Those who want to volunteer can assist Thandeka Nodada in her tasks of monitoring the provision of sustainable refuse removal to provide a clean environment, thus protecting residents from different kinds of diseases associated with waste.

Promoting a healthy community while also tasked to preserve heritage across the ward, residents can volunteer their time with Jason Johnson, who’s role is to facilitate talent identification in partnership with eThekwini Municipality.

“Our main goal will be to create vibrancy in our ward and to get youth, in particular, involved in sporting, arts and culture activities to keep them away from the streets and other unacceptable conditions,” Jason said.

Ward councillor, Zoe Solomon, said she was proud to present the ward committee who are ready to hit the ground running.

“Residents are urged to raise their voice and unite to stand against poor service delivery. We also encourage those who have free time to volunteer and assist where they can, said Zoe.

Those who wish to, can join forces with Dave Bulterman as he assists with monitoring the implementation of the electrification programme within the ward, as well as keep a check on sanitation connection. Dave is responsible for facilitating the implementation of a water loss management plan to save water and report burst water pipes and other water-related faults timeously.
