Montclair CPF to host elections

The forum comprises of religious leaders and individuals from security companies, businesses, non-governmental organisations, youth and the community.

THE Montclair Community Policing Forum (CPF) will conduct its electoral process at the Montclair Recreational Hall on Wednesday, March 30, at 18:00. The term of office is five years and positions open for nominations include chairperson, deputy chairperson, secretary, deputy secretary, treasurer, public relations officer and positions for three community members. Communications officer of the Montclair SAPS, Captain Derek Vijiam, said the forum comprises of religious leaders, as well as individuals from local security companies, businesses, non-governmental organisations, youth and the community.

“Nominations will take place from the floor of those present and attendees may also place nominations in boxes provided at the Montclair Library, situated in Montclair Mall, or at SAPS Montclair CSC and Montclair Post Office. Police encourages residents to participate in this process. Nominate members of the local community or yourself. Through your selfless volunteer efforts, we can build a strong active, vibrant and successful CPF to participate in the prevention of crime together with SAPS Montclair,” said Vijiam.
