Carjacking

A WOMAN was held at gunpoint by three unknown men as they took possession of her car and cellphone on Friday, November 12, at about 10:00.

According to Vijiam, she was driving to her residence on Fairbridge Road, Montclair.

“She noticed three unknown men loitering around her gate. She drove off and communicated with her husband. She called the security company for assistance thereafter called her neighbour. The neighbour opened her gate to allow the victim to enter the property.

“The victim entered and closed the gate behind her. A tenant arrived a few minutes later and the gate was opened again. This is when the men found an opportunity to gain entry.

“The suspects produced two firearms and two knives at the victim thereby threatening her. They removed the complainant’s cell phone and her 3 Series BMW and drove off. The vehicle was later recovered in Folweni,” he said.
