Looking to get rid of those unwanted Christmas gifts? call on Tafta

Tafta's charity shop, Granny's Attic,  is running low on stock and is need of lots of second hand goodies to fill the shelves.

DID you make any New Year’s resolutions for 2020?

Whether you did or didn’t, why not kick start the year in a positive way by having a clear out at home or at the office. It’s the perfect way to de-stress and prepare for the year ahead. But don’t throw away those unwanted books, clothes, shoes, crockery, appliances, furniture and linen.

The Association for The Aged’s  (Tafta) charity shop, Granny’s Attic,  is running low on stock and is need of lots of second hand goodies to fill the shelves.

“As many may know, income from shop sales helps provide funds for our “Needy Pensioners Fund”, which we use to buy items like toiletries and extra food for residents who can’t afford these ‘luxuries’,” said Tafta CEO Femada Shamam.

So when you’ve finished your de-clutter, drop off all unwanted items directly at the shop – at 80 Samora Machel (Aliwal) Street, or give the Tafta donations office a ring on 031-332-3721 or email pr@tafta.org.za to arrange for collection. “Even if you only have one or two items, it all helps! Thank you for your kindness”, added Shamam.

Further queries related to this matter can be directed to Tafta’s Marketing Manager, Prevashni Naidu on 031-332-3721 or 083-781-2006  or via email prevashni@tafta.org.za
