Animal rehab clinic crows about calendar campaign aid

The Centre for Rehabilitation of Wildlife (CROW) team extends massive thanks to Compass Medical Waste Services and their Compass Cares Team for the amazing work done on the 2019 calendar campaign.

YELLOWWOOD Park’s Centre for Rehabilitation of Wildlife (CROW) team extends massive thanks to Compass Medical Waste Services and their Compass Cares Team for the amazing work done on the 2019 calendar campaign.

As a beneficiary of this campaign for the last decade, CROW is grateful to have the opportunity to work alongside the Compass team to raise funds for the animals they serve.

“I thank Ian du Randt, the managing director of Compass Waste and finance manager for Compass Cares Claude Moodley, for their dedication in raising funds for animal organisations in Durban. It has been an honour to work with you and we look forward to working on the next campaign. Your love of wildlife is admirable and we truly appreciate all the work that goes into designing and manufacturing such amazing calendars each year to not only benefit CROW but also the Cats of Durban. The funds raised from the sale of the CROW calendars will go towards upgrading our clinic as well as security upgrades, ensuring the safety of the animals as well as our staff,” said Clint Halkett-Siddall, director of CROW.

The CROW team also thanks all the stores and veterinary clinics who played their part in selling the calendars to raise funds for the organisation. “Thank you to all retail stores and veterinary clinics which were so kind as to sell our calendars. To the public at large, thank you for purchasing them. Your contribution will go a long way in caring for the injured, orphaned or abandoned animals that come through our doors.

Without companies such as Compass Waste, the businesses that sponsored the calendars and the public, we wouldn’t be able to continue on our mission to rescue and rehabilitate as many indigenous wildlife as we possibly can. CROW currently does not receive any government subsidies and is therefore totally reliant on the generosity and support of businesses and the public,” said Lana Bartholomew, marketing and communications officer.

If any companies would like to sponsor the 2020 calendars and help CROW raise much-needed funds, contact Lana Bartholomew on info@crowkzn.co.za or email Compass Cares at compasscares@compass.za.net.
