Montclair karateka shine at grading
MONTCLAIR Budo Ryu Karate Club held its prize-giving on Thursday, 29 November.
Juniors: 14th kyu white belt red stripe Banele Ngcobo; 13th kyu yellow belt Jackson Khumalo (graded into style); 12th kyu yellow belt red stripe Believe Tsasa Tambwe and Vicky Ngoie Tambwe; 11th kyu orange belt Aphile Hlambisa and Iyabongeka Nyawose; 10th kyu orange belt red stripe Amukele Chonco and Bandile Chonco; 8th kyu green belt red stripe Asanda Manyoni and Oluphi Vukaphi; 5th kyu purple belt Mpumelelo Gumede.
Seniors: 8th kyu yellow belt Andile Gumede and Simthembile Mtolo.
Most outstanding karateka: Oluphi Vukaphi.
Most improved karateka: Bandile Chonco.
Most improved novice: Andile Gumede and Banele Ngcobo.
