30 JOIN Stepping Stone Hospice for a tree lighting ceremony at Reading Country Club. It is a perfect opportunity to enjoy a picnic under starry skies with family and loved ones. It also brings the opportunity to add your remembrance globe in celebration of a loved one at only R100. Celebrations will start at 5.30pm with entertainment and traditional Carols by Candlelight. Stepping Stone Hospice will sell pancakes, boerewors rolls, popcorn and drinks. The actual lighting of the tree will take place at 7.45pm (weather permitting) when hundreds of globes will light up with a soft radiance. The tree will shine throughout December. Fresh food vendors include Asian food, boerewors rolls, vetkoek and Indian food. There is a gin bar, craft beer and ciders. There’s a play area for the children and pets are welcome.
