ON October 27, three happenings are taking place in the South of Joburg.

Queenshaven Retirement Village, 64 Outspan Road, South Hills is hosting its white elephant and clothing sale. Bargains galore, from 9am to 12 noon. All welcome.

Glenvista Renaissance Retirement Village is hosting a fête and its 30th birthday celebration from 10am to 4pm. Food and flea market stalls, a tea garden and live entertainment provided by Muscadel Music Band. At 10am the celebrations will begin with the cutting of the birthday cake. That will be followed by a fun for all one kilometre sponsored walk. Medals will be given to all participants. Stalls for hire at R100. Already stalls booked for pancakes, biltong and dry wors, jewellery, needlework etc. Come and enjoy a great fun day. St Mary’s Anglican Church, corner Albert and Zinnia streets, Rosettenville will be having a fête with food stalls, tea garden and other fun things from 8.30am to 4pm. For more information please contact Rose Lephondo on 083 460 5642.
