Great fun the traditional way

UNCLE Charlies’ Weekend Market hosted a Portuguese Food Festival on Saturday, August 4, in Ridgeway.

The food festival brought people together as they shared conversations over Portuguese prawns, chicken, drinks and bread. The festival featured about 10 stalls selling traditional Portuguese food and drinks and throughout the day, traditional Portuguese music was performed by Carlos Almaida, who kept the audience on their feet.

“This one of the best food festivals I ever been to. Portuguese food is phenomenal and I am having a good time with my family. The spices that are on the prawns are amazing. If we can have more of these festivals one can end up wanting to be a chef,” said Lucas Moore, a visitor to the festival.
