24 ALL Style workshop at Rietvlei Zoo Farm on June 24 (Sunday). Join in for a full workshop experience in LA Street Jazz by Nadia Katz, Cabaret and Dance Fitness by Michael Julius and Street Hip Hop (combusting) by Regan Cati. Cost is R300 per person for the entire workshop or R150.00 per class. The funds raised will go towards funding the five dancers that were selected to go to Jamaica to represent South Africa from Spectre Studios. The workshop starts at 2pm. 29 DOOR of Hope will be hosting a charity golf day at the Houghton Country Club on June 29 as a fund-raising strategy to support the welfare of children in their care. The theme for the day will be “Superheroes” through which Door of Hope will also promote the sustainability of the organisation in continuously taking care of abandoned children across Johannesburg. Members of the community should join and support the charity golf day in their numbers to help children in need. The event will be full of fun activities, creative superhero costumes and lots of prizes to be won. 30 THE i4118 Foundation will soon be hosting the Yomerging (youth + emerging) Leaders event – an upliftment and encouragement to all youth leaders and emerging youth leaders where they can come together, network and share their stories. There will be various individuals and groups at this event who will share wonderful, empowering stories and advice with the leaders of tomorrow. 2 IT is time for keen golfers and those who love having fun on the course to get their golfing buddies together for Amcare’s annual golf day. This year’s income-generating golf day will be hosted on August 2 at Reading Country Club with the format being a betterball scramble. Book your four-ball for R2 000 which will secure a golf workshop, halfway snack pack and dinner at the prize-giving. There will be a cash bar available. Carts and caddies are to be booked via the Pro Shop on 011 907 3666. There is also hole branding available on the day which is a great opportunity for businesses to create awareness.
