CALLING all Elvis fans! A world-class tribute to Elvis Presley is coming to Gold Reef City’s Barnyard Theatre on January 13 and 14 with a show called Elvis & Friends, starring Shaky Russell and a star-studded cast.
Shaky Russell is an award-winning Elvis performer who previously wowed audiences in Memphis, USA (home of the real Elvis), making Shaky one of today’s supreme Elvis Presley performers.
Elvis Presley was one of the greatest singers and entertainers the world has ever known, and shook up the music industry for three decades before dying in 1977 at the young age of 42. His death created a void in the hearts of music lovers the world over, and this show aims to fill that gap by paying tribute to the legend that was Elvis. Experience the songs, moves and voice that created a worldwide phenomenon.
The show will keep audience members on the edge of their seats with Shaky’s array of custom-made costumes and energetic performances. With his incredible vocal range and resemblance, Shaky Russell and an awesome live 12-piece cast will perform more than 30 of Elvis’ greatest hits.
You can look forward to timeless hits including Blue Suede Shoes, Hound Dog, Jailhouse Rock, American Trilogy, Always On My Mind, Burning Love, Can’t Help Falling In Love, Suspicious Minds, The Wonder Of You and many more.
Shaky will also be accompanied on stage by a great selection of artists, including Craig Urbani, Alley De Bruin and a live rocking band and cast. Expect a few surprises in honour of other musical legends, including Tina Turner, Buddy Holly, Sha Na Na, Neil Diamond, Marilyn Monroe and more.
So, put on your blue suede shoes and get ready to shake, rattle and roll, because this show promises to rock both young and old in true Elvis Presley spirit!
