Henry Rollins returns to South Africa

Henry has returned to South Africa several times to update fans with brilliantly told stories of his unceasing adventures

GOLD Reef City, in conjunction with Whacked: Special Project are excited to announce the one-night-only return of Henry Rollins to South Africa, where he will be taking to The Lyric stage on Saturday October 1, with his show ‘Food for thought’.

Born Henry Lawrence Garfield on February 13, 1961 in Washington D.C., Henry Rollins is regarded as a punk rock icon for his work with Black Flag and the Rollins Band. He is also an accomplished writer and actor.

“Over the years, Henry has returned to South Africa several times to update fans with brilliantly told stories of his unceasing adventures. We are thrilled to have him tell these stories at The Lyric,” says Gareth Kaschula, Gold Reef City marketing manager.

‘Food for thought’ is planted between hilarious observations and poignant verbal snapshots as Henry recalls his travels to conflict zones and trouble spots. This is coupled with stories of his wild work experiences, relayed in sharp detail and his signature rapid-fire style.

Central Asia, Africa and South America will also feature in Henry’s show, as the intrepid wanderer has visited all three continents recently.
