Annual Woolworths and MySchool Teachers Day competition

Woolworths and Myschool annual Teacher’s Day competition has been launched once again.

The Woolworths and MySchool annual Teacher’s Day competition has been launched again, to celebrate the great work that teachers are doing.

With over 10 000 entries last year from across the country, the competition keeps growing, and so do the prizes. With the theme ”Is your teacher awesome?” the 2016 Teachers’ Day competition will offer a range of prizes to teachers, learners and schools with a total value of well over R300 000.

Every school and learner in South Africa is invited to enter the competition and to use it as an exciting and emotive way for their school community to commemorate World Teachers Day, on October 5.

Learners enter the teacher who has touched their lives into the competition by describing why they think their teacher is ”awesome”. Eight regional finalists will be chosen, with an array of prizes awarded to each winning child, teacher and school.

Entries are now open and to participate, learners need to write to Woolies and motivate why their teacher is awesome using a maximum of 200 words. Entries can be submitted via email to mtd@woolworths.co.za, by fax on 021 447 6480, or by post to Teachers Day Awards, Matriarch Offices, Unit 1 & 2, cnr Anson and Collingwood roads, Observatory, 7235, before 9 September 2016.

Learners’ submissions must include the name of the nominated teacher, the name of their school, the name and grade of the learner and the region in which the school is located, as per the competition’s T&C’s. Learners are welcome to include relevant photographs and drawings in their entries.
