Artists to exhibit at Marist Brothers

Artist Paula Martins is launching a project honouring Portuguese immigrants, giving them a voice about the sacrifices they made when they relocated to South Africa.

FUSION Art Exhibition will be held at Marist Brothers Linmeyer from July 23 to 31, in the Marian Resource Centre at the school in East Street Linmeyer. Gallery hours are Monday to Friday from 10:00 to 17:00 and Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 to 15:00.

Chatting to coordinator Dalila de Matos and two of the other artists who will be exhibiting, Abe Mathabe and Barbi Vandewalle, this year’s exhibition is extra special as it kicks off the celebrations around the jubilee of Marist Brothers Linmeyer. Not only this, but every weekday from Monday, July 25 to Friday, July 29, free various art demonstrations will be held from 14:30 to 15:30, which will take place in the school’s auditorium.
