RIETVLEI – Soccer Park (RSP) invites you to enter your soccer team in their National Heritage and Braai Day Fun Soccer Tournament on Thursday, September 24, which is a public holiday.
The tournament will be held at the Rietvlei Soccer Park (RSP), on the two AstroTurf fields inside Rietvlei Zoo Farm, 101 Swartkoppies Road, R554, JHB South (www.rietvleifarm.co.za).
The Soccer Tournament offers a day of fun and competition for all soccer players. Please bring along your family and friends for a great day out. There will be Prego rolls, boerewors rolls and burgers on sale, cash only.
All teams will play in a round robin group stage competition format, which begins at 10:30 on Thursday morning. The day will progress to the semi-finals before the final match takes place. The tournament will be concluded with a prize-giving ceremony.
Tournament information
* All teams must register for the tournament (admin@rietvleisoccer.co.za) by Monday, September 21.
* On the day of the tournament, please bring along the player/team information form and register your team at the registration table.
* Ten players per team (one player in goals and five players on field, with four subs).
* The coach or captain may enter more than one team under a different name. The cost is R600 per team to enter the tournament (strictly all monies are to be paid before tournament starts).
* Ages of players is strictly for 17 years and older.
* Fifteen minutes per game, one way.
* Tournament starting time is 10:30 and estimated time of prize giving is 18:00.
* Please confirm your team arrival from 10:00 at the registration table.
* Prizes include various cash and value prizes worth R20 000, Cell C hampers, Rietvlei Zoo Farm vouchers, soccer balls and soccer kits. There will also be lucky draws.
