Movie lovers had the opportunity to see the film in a cinema a week ahead of most of the globe just in time for the Freedom Day long weekend.

Marvel’s Avengers: Age of Ultron is considered by many to be the top cinema release for 2015, and had its “sneak” screening in South Africa at Nu Metro cinema complexes nationwide.

Large parts of the film were shot right here in the country at the Johannesburg CBD and with the Gauteng skyline.

Dubbed the biggest superhero movie of all time; Avengers: Age of Ultron kicks off when Tony Stark tries to jumpstart a dormant peacekeeping programme. Things go awry and earth’s mightiest heroes, including Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr), Captain America (Chris Evans), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), The Incredible Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) and Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) are put to the ultimate test as the fate of the planet hangs in the balance.

As the villainous Ultron (James Spader) emerges, it is up to the Avengers to stop him from enacting his terrible plans, and soon uneasy alliances and unexpected action pave the way for an epic and unique global adventure – with additional support from Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson).

Those who made it to the screening called the movie amazing!
