Tsogo Sun’s national Roulette Master retains tournament title in 2015

The 40 finalists were quickly whittled down to the top few scorers, and after a few more nail-biting rounds, Singh came out tops once again.

TSOGO Sun’s second nationwide Roulette Masters tournament culminated on Saturday in a finale hosted at Montecasino, where Neil Singh, defending 2014 Roulette Masters champion, walked away with the first prize, retaining his title.

The thrilling finale followed eight weeks of qualifying and semi-final rounds at all of Tsogo Sun’s 14 casinos and saw 40 finalists from across the country travel to Johannesburg to fight for the Roulette Masters title.

“The response to the tournament countrywide was phenomenal. Thousands of roulette enthusiasts arrived at our casinos to buy in for the chance to turn R100 into over R1 million – and as a direct result of the remarkable buy-ins by Tsogo Sun patrons, the total prize pool increased from an initial amount of R1.7 million to R2.82 million within eight weeks, taking the already high stakes of the second annual tournament to a record level,” said Steve Hight, Director of Gaming at Tsogo Sun.

Montecasino was a hub of excitement as the finalists fought for the top spot over 10 heats. The 40 finalists were quickly whittled down to the top few scorers, and after a few more nail-biting rounds, Singh came out tops once again.

Glenn Joseph, General Manager of Montecasino, also said: “We are honoured to have been selected to host the final of the Roulette Masters tournament for 2015. There was an electrifying atmosphere in the casino as the finalists took to the tables. It’s times like these that bring the essence of gaming to life. It’s all about fun, thrills and entertainment; and that is certainly what the players and spectators experienced at Montecasino for the grand finale.”
