The international ballet company will present a festival of three full-length classical ballets – Giselle, Don Quixote and Swan Lake – backed by a full orchestra in Johannesburg. The company returns to Cape Town for the first time in eight years, to perform the full-length Swan Lake with a full orchestra.
The company comes to South Africa as part of a global touring season, which will take it from Finland to Australia. Tickets for the performances at Montecasino in Johannesburg and Artscape in Cape Town are selling fast and extra performances of Don Quixote and Swan Lake have been added to the Montecasino schedule on May 10, 14 and 15; with two extra performances of Swan Lake being added to the Cape Town schedule on Sunday May 24.
Executive Producer Fred Hunter has reminded South African audiences to book their tickets now. “This is probably the best touring ballet company in the world, bringing its international tour to South Africa, with prima ballerina Irina Kolesnikova returning to dance here for the first time since the birth of her daughter.”
The company will be performing at the Teatro at Montecasino in Johannesburg on the following dates:

May 09-10 – Don Quixote
May 13-15 – Swan Lake
