Alberton Day kicks off with a bang

The much anticipated event for all of Alberton residents had finally kicked off, and it couldn’t have started on a higher note as crowds gathered at the Forklift Alberton Rugby Club on Friday December 5.

A few of drizzles threatened to dampen the mood of visitors, however, rain failed to play a factor in the proceedings on the first of celebrating Alberton Day.

With Gangs of Ballet, Shadow Club and Prime Circle all geared and raring to go it was only a matter of time before temperatures in Alberton would rise.

Before the bands took the stage, the crowd enjoyed some wrestling entertainment which proved to be a hit with the younger viewers. To the crowds roaring cheers, each band more than held their audience captive from the first note to the last chord played.

During an exclusive interview with the Alberton RECORD, leader singer and guitarist of Prime Circle, Ross sent a special message to their fans, “Thank you for supporting local music, thanks for keeping it real and thanks for being you…”
