KLIPRIVIERSBERG NATURE RESERVE – Saturday May 10 – KLIPRIVIERSBERG ENVIRO-CLUB. Building burgers. What do you know about hamburgers? Nothing? Not much? Only that you like eating them?Come and find out about the history of the good old hamburger. Once you’ve learned all you can, come and build a burger for your breakfast. I’m sure mum will allow you a “bad” breakfast for once,infact maybe she’ll join in the fun. Time: 08:00 to 10:30, Entrance Precinct, Peggy Vera Road, Kibler Park. Cost: R20per person participating.

Sunday May 25 – KNRA ANNUAL LONG WALK. This is an excellent opportunity for serious hikers to test their fitness against some of the really demanding trails in the nature reserve. Apart from the strenuous side of the walk, hikers will also be able to enjoy all the other aspects that this beautiful reserve has to offer. The total distance is approximately 20km. For those hikers who do not wish to walk the entire distance, ‘escape’ facilities will be offered at various stages along the trails. Water will be supplied at various points along the trail but hikers should ensure that they carry an additional supply together with any food that they may require. For those requiring it a briefing will be held before the walk and each participant will be issued with a brochure which contains a map of all the trails in the reserve. KNRA guides will be available at strategic points along the trail to ensure that hikers are safe and also to assist where necessary. So if you like a challenge, make sure that you are here Time: Registration is from 08:00 to 09:00. Wednesday May 28 – KNRA Golf Day. We are pleased to announce that Bidvest has donated R9 000towards our golf day. So come and enjoy a day of fun, for a very good cause. The Klipriviersberg Nature Reserve Association, a registered non-profit organisation, urgently needs funds in order to finance various projects in the nature reserve. In order to achieve our goals we are organising a golf day that will be held at the South Downs Country Club, on May 28. Your support will be appreciated and would help in preserving this “Jewel of the South.”Pricing Options: R1 600 per four ball. R2 000 to sponsor a hole and have one four ball entered. R500 to sponsor a hole.
