Thirty-six players to be selected this Saturday for roulette masters final
An event that will culminate in the grand finale at Gold Reef City on March 29, with one lucky winner walking away with R1.8 million in cash, the highest prize ever in a R100 buy-in Roulette tournament.
GOLD REFF CITY – This weekend sees the property semi-finals of Tsogo Sun’s group wide Roulette Masters Tournament taking place simultaneously at 13 of its entertainment destinations around the country.
An event that will culminate in the grand finale at Gold Reef City on March 29, with one lucky winner walking away with R1.8 million in cash, the highest prize ever in a R100 buy-in Roulette tournament.
“The total prize money was originally projected to be R1.7 million, and this has increased by a massive one million rand to R2.7 million over the eight weeks of the tournament as a result of unprecedented buy-in by players around the country. The first prize has increased from R1 million to a guaranteed R1.8 million, reflecting the enormous support the tournament has enjoyed,” comments Steve Hight, Director of Gaming of Tsogo Sun.
Based on the results of Saturday’s semi-final rounds and unit finals, of what is arguably the most well participated Roulette tournament ever in South Africa, 36 players from seven provinces will be flown to Gold Reef City to participate in the group semi-final, which will whittle the players down to the final seven, who will compete for the R1.8 million first prize
“This is the biggest ever single prize for a R100 buy-in in a Roulette Tournament. The stakes have got higher and higher each week as every cent of the R100 buy-ins at all 13 properties over the eight weeks of the tournament been returned in prize money, creating more and more excitement among players competing for the top positions on the leader board,” comments Hight.
Five players from Montecasino, four each from Suncoast, Gold Reef City and Silverstar, three from Golden Horse Casino, The Ridge, Hemingway’s Casino and Emnotweni Casino, two from Garden Route Casino and Goldfields Casino, and one each from Mykonos Casino, Blackrock Casino and The Caledon Casino will win their right to play in the grand semi-final at Gold Reef City on 29 March, based on their scores on the leader board this coming Saturday.
