As part of Gold Reef City’s entertainment line-up, the Lyric Theatre will be hosting legendary South African performer Pieter-Dirk Uys for two nights on March 28 and 29 at 20:30.
His latest production, An Audience with Pieter-Dirk EISH is full of surprises and laughs. Members of the audience can choose one of the 15 boxes set up on stage, which determines the characters and style of entertainment that Uys will perform. Each night the show and the characters are different, depending on the choices of the audience, and range from a thrilling drama, comedy, a farce or a shocking exposé.
The performances could be Evita Bezuidenhout as a new ANC cadre, or Nowell Fine celebrating 40 years in the public eye. Maybe a Malema in Gucci or chains, some Zumas married or not, one or two Mandelas, a Tutu, a PW or a Pik. What about Mother Theresa making sure that Jesus will only return if the ANC stays in power?
