Year ends on energy efficiency for GBP
Private Sector Energy Efficiency Project launched in South Africa.
THABA YA BATSWANA: The last meeting of the year for the Green Business Platform (GBP), held at Thaba Ya Batswana, ended on a high note with Andrew Barker (KlipSa) reiterating guest speakers who spoke at the monthly meetings throughout 2013.
He introduced the guest speaker for December, Peter Mukoma, who is involved with the Private Sector Energy Efficiency Project, which was launched in South Africa on December 4.
Peter stressed that South Africa is one of the greatest places to live and work. “The UK Government has awarded funding to get this project going and will work closely with the Department of Energy. The UK will also provide technical support. The project will include small, medium and large businesses and each will be given assistance according to their size.
“This is very exciting and with businesses facing rising costs, energy efficiency will be key to future business development,” concluded Peter.
