Metro Africa Celebration-Christ Alone

JOBURG SOUTH: Metro Africa proudly announces their Annual Celebration, starting on October 3, ending October 6.

Pastor Bill Wilson from Metro New York will be the guest Speaker. Pastor Bill is the Founder of Metro New York.

There will be a service on the 3rd October at 7:00pm and St. Mary’s Children will be meeting Ps Bill at the Metro Family Church care of Pastor Des and Jenny, in the Panorama Shopping Centre in Mulbarton. There will also be a Service on Friday the 4th of October 2013 at 7:00pm.

Metro Africa will also be Hosting a Fundraiser Dinner with Ps Bill, on the 5th of October at 5:30pm at Turfontein Race Course to assist Pastor Bill with his World Wide Mission of helping and ministering to children.

Abandoned as a Child

As a child, Pastor Bill experienced the pain and hopelessness of abandonment. His Mother left on a Sidewalk (Pavement) He sat and waited for three days straight. She never returned. A Christian gentleman stopped and picked him up and sent him to a youth camp It was here that Bill’s relationship with God began.

Pastor Bill established Metro World Child (formerly Metro Ministries) in 1980 in what was one of Brooklyn’s roughest neighborhoods, the Bushwick community, most commonly known for its history of gang violence, crime, drugs, and poverty.

Due to the success of Metro’s programs, President George Bush, Sr. appointed Pastor Bill to serve on the National Commission on America’s Urban Families in 1991. Metro’s influence was also identified as a factor in the noticeable reduction of crime in the Bushwick.

Today, Pastor Bill travels widely, speaking in churches nationally and internationally each week. He is frequently featured on Christian television networks throughout the U.S., Canada and Europe. And his programs, curriculum and techniques are being duplicated in cities all over the world. However one thing remains the same: Pastor Bill is there in the heart of the urban jungle in Brooklyn, driving the school bus to pick up boys and girls for Sunday School.

Pastor Bill will also be ministering at the 2 morning services at Metro Africa on the 6th of October 2013, the First service at 8:15am and the Second service at 10:30am.

Children,s Church will be held at Jungle Rumble playground for all of the services held at Metro Africa. Pastor Bill will also be visiting all of the Metro Africa Sidewalk Sites during his visit to South Africa.

The Sidewalk Teams which are all volunteers, ‘Ordinary people, doing Extra-ordinary things’ and our Sidewalk Trucks go out to the kids and a full program of activities, games, songs and teachings are done.

Metro Africa will be distributing 5000 gifts and sweet hampers, this Christmas to all the under priviledged children.
