Teamwork drives Nova Pioneer Ormonde forward at city run

Students and staff of Nova Pioneer Ormonde formed part of the Absa Run Your City Joburg 10K and enjoyed themselves.

With pride, the Nova Pioneer Ormonde campus took part in the yearly Absa Run Your City Joburg 10K, which took place in the centre of the Johannesburg CBD on September 24.

The event provided a venue to encourage physical fitness, community pride, and health, drawing thousands of attendees from throughout the city.

To represent the school in this thrilling citywide campaign, staff members from Nova Pioneer teamed together.

The Nova Pioneer team, known for its enthusiasm and commitment to teamwork, tackled the 10km course that weaved through iconic landmarks in Johannesburg.

The race day atmosphere was electric, with runners being cheered on by spectators, families, and supporters lining the streets.

The marketing associate of Nova Pioneer Ormonde, Pule Letshweni, said that being involved in the Absa Run Your City Joburg 10K is just one aspect of Nova Pioneer’s larger mission to support holistic growth outside of the classroom.

In addition, he said that this run provided their personnel with an opportunity to enhance their physical well-being. The event reinforced values such as determination, goal-setting, and community involvement.

Marjorie Meyers, dean of students of Nova Pioneer’s Ormonde, who took part in the event as well, expressed joy with the school’s participation.

“It was inspiring to see our students and staff coming together in the spirit of greater together. The Absa Run Your City Joburg 10K was an opportunity for us to showcase the values we stand for – always growing and high expectations,” Meyers said.
