South Hills Boxing Club dominates after two claim WCB titles

The South Hills Boxing Club boxers triumphed to make the club proud.

National boxing promoter Brandon Hammer Productions lit up the ring on July 5 with a White-Collar Boxing (WCB) event that had the audience on the edges of their seats when South Hills boxers Amu Golele and Elton Mahlangu performed well at Wildebeest in Boksburg.

The event featured over 12 fights spanning various weight categories and showcased the fighters’ determination.

The main event, a showdown for the coveted WCB Super Heavyweight title, stole the limelight when Golele and Renier Dorfling stepped into the ring for six gruelling rounds. Both fighters gave their all, demonstrating impressive skill and resilience.

In the end, cheers echoed through the venue when Golele emerged victorious, clinching the title in a hard-fought battle.

The co-main fight was equally riveting, featuring a clash for the WCB Lightweight title. Mahlangu and Lucky Kleynhans skilfully manoeuvred and traded blows in a display of sportsmanship. The crowd erupted in excitement when Mahlangu showcased his prowess and claimed victory to secure the title.

After the event, head coach Lyle Fortoen of South Hills Boxing Club expressed his gratitude to the audience and praised the fighters for their dedication and hard work.
