Fun sports day Nova Pioneer Ormonde Campus

Nova Pioneer Ormonde Campus hosted its annual Junior InterNOVA Sports Day on March 30.

The event brought together learners from all Nova Pioneer Campuses in Johannesburg, showcasing their athletic abilities in various competitions.

According to the marketing assistant for Ormonde campus, Pule Letshweni, the Junior InterNOVA Sports Day is an exciting event that promotes physical activity, teamwork, and sportsmanship among young Novaneers.

“The day began with a colorful opening ceremony, with learners marching in a parade displaying their school banners and performing various cheerleading dances. The sports competitions took place throughout the day, with learners participating in various track and field events, including sprints, relays, aquatic, and court games.

The students showed impressive athletic abilities, and the parents were thrilled with the performances.

The InterNOVA spirit trophy was won by the Boksburg campus.

“The event concluded with a prize-giving ceremony, where the top-performing schools were recognized and awarded trophies. Midrand campus emerged as the overall champions in all games, with Boksburg campus taking home the spirit trophy.

“Ormonde campus school leaders, Theuns Oppermann and Happy Seshoka expressed their gratitude towards the learners, teachers, and parents for their support and participation in making the event a success. They also thanked the event facilitators, Fielding Dreams, whose support made the event possible.

“The Junior InterNova Sports Day is an integral part of Nova Pioneer’s commitment to promoting physical activity, culture and wellness among young students. The school looks forward to hosting the event again next year and hopes to make it even bigger and better,” said Letshweni.
