The Totalsports Women’s Race returns on National Women’s Day (August 9) to Cape Town, Durban and Johannesburg and will boast a total combined prize purse of R155 550.
Michael Meyer, managing director of Stillwater Sports said: “We are proud to offer a combined prize purse of R155 550 at the 2022 Totalsports Women’s Race, that’s R51 850.00 per city (Cape Town, Johannesburg and Durban).
“Prize money will be allocated to the top 10 finishers in the open and junior categories with the open winner taking home R12 500 and the junior winner R2 500.
“We are also excited to offer prize money to the first three finishers in the 40-49 category, 50-59 category, 60-69 category and 70+ category. We trust that the prize money will be the cherry on the cake for these runners with the main focus being on celebrating National Women’s Day with thousands of women nationwide. We invite all runners to #LoveTheRun with us on August 9.”
