Southern club through to quarter-finals

Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates made it through to the next round.

THE two South-based Premier Soccer League (PSL) clubs, Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates, made it through to the next round of the Telkom Knockout Round of 16.

Amakhosi had no scruples thrashing AmaZulu 3-0 at Moses Mabhida Stadium on October 28 to book their spot in the quarter-finals of this knockout challenge.

The Buccaneers celebrated their 1-0 win over Golden Arrows on the same day at Princess Magogo Stadium to move to the next round.

The quarter-finals fixtures are:

Orlando Pirates v Polokwane City

Chippa United v Kaizer Chiefs

Platinum Stars v Bloemfontein Celtic

Bidvest Wits v Baroka FC

The dates, times and venues for these encounters will be announced by the PSL in due course.
