The people’s race returns to Turffontein

The Sansui Summer Cup is returning to Turffontein Racecourse.

JOHANNESBURG’s biggest race day returns to the majestic Turffontein Racecourse on November 25.

The excitement around the Gauteng Sansui Summer Cup surpasses that of any other racing event in the province.

With huge crowds expected on course and millions of pundits around the country taking serious bets, the totes and bookmakers will be kept on their toes when dealing with a massive betting splurge as everyone enjoys the thrilling racing action.

On the day, spectators at Turffontein Racecourse will be treated to endless entertainment both on and off the track. The venue will be transformed into a world-class carnival, complete with a Ferris wheel, children’s entertainment, great food and drink, fashion shows and exceptional musical entertainment.

A highlight of the day is the inaugural half-time show. Taking place just before the main race, to announce it in the grandest way possible, the 20-minute extravaganza will feature an impressive line-up of drum majorettes, a massive field band, a choir and incredible dancers. But that’s not all – headlining the show will be none other than the local musical phenomenon, Mi Casa.

Everyone is welcome at The People’s Race. Visitors are encouraged to bring the whole family and to dress themselves in their most stylish summer chic outfits as they prepare for a day of unforgettable fun.
